Ductwork in Florida
Ductwork service means inspecting, sealing, repairing or replacing the ducts that carry air between your AC and each room. You need it when some rooms are always hotter than others, certain vents have weak airflow, ducts in the attic are crushed or disconnected, or the house stays dusty and humid despite a working system.
Climate Control Services, Hales AC and Abraham AC offer ductwork in Palm Beach, Pinellas, Hillsborough, Pasco, Sarasota, Manatee, Broward and Miami-Dade counties.

The visit
What to expect
- You describe which rooms are uncomfortable and when.
- The technician checks airflow at the vents and the return, and inspects the ducts they can reach in the attic.
- They look for leaks, disconnections, crushed runs, missing insulation and returns that are too small.
- They may measure duct pressure or leakage so the fix is based on what is actually happening.
- They explain whether sealing, repair, rebalancing or replacement fits the problem, and you choose before work starts.
- After the work they recheck airflow in the rooms that were the problem.

Florida notes
What Florida changes
- Many Florida homes run their ducts through the attic, which gets extremely hot in summer. A leak there pulls hot, humid attic air into the system and blows cooled air where it does no good.
- Cold ducts and vents sweat when they meet humid air. Poorly insulated or leaking ducts can drip, stain ceilings and grow mold.
- Flexible ducts in older Florida homes can sag, crush or come loose over many hot summers. When the AC is replaced, it is a sensible time to check whether the ducts should be too.

“Called Climate Control Services at 7:am. Our air conditioning stopped working and we were leaving to go back up north. Talked to Mark Miller and had a technician at our house by 9:00am. Needed a new air conditioner. Sam & Eric ( I think) had us up and running by 4:00 with a new system. They were professional, respectful and did a great job.”

Abraham was one of the 2 and went with them due to tech Rafael customer service and attentiveness to detail. Informed me all the way through the process and was very transparent. Would highly recommend.”

Ductwork, answered
Other services
How do I know if my ducts are leaking?
Common signs are rooms that never cool properly, a dusty house and rising electric use. A technician can confirm it by inspecting the ducts and measuring pressure or leakage.
Should I have my air ducts cleaned?
Only when there is a reason, such as visible mold, pests, heavy debris or construction dust inside the ducts. EPA guidance says routine duct cleaning is not generally needed without a specific problem.
Should I close vents in rooms I do not use?
Usually not. Closing vents raises pressure in the ducts, can increase leakage and may reduce airflow across the coil, which can lead to ice on the lines.
Do I need new ducts when I replace my AC?
Not always. Ducts in good shape that are correctly sized and well sealed can stay. If they are leaking, crushed or too small, fixing them at the same time helps the new system work as designed.
